  • Sanskritization: It refers to a process in which the lower castes imitate and adopt the cultural patterns of the higher castes, to raise their status in the social hierarchical order.
  • Social Capital: It is the networks of relationships among people of a particular society, including trust, mutual understanding, shared values and behaviour that bind the members of the society together and facilitates cooperation among them.
  • Invisibilisation of Women’s Work: The tendency to ignore the physical and mental labour of a woman done for care and nourishment of ‘Home’, which is not counted as a part of economy or GDP.
  • Inequality: It refers to the degree of dispersion in the distribution of assets, income or consumption.
  • Continuum of Care: It involves an integrated system of care that guides and tracks patient over their lifetime providing comprehensive health services over their life. It involves preventive care, medical incidents, rehabilitation, and maintenance.
  • Rights-based Approach: It develops the capacity of the state to meet their obligations towards the under privileged sections and encourages these sections to claim their rights.
  • Social Deprivation: It refers to limited access to social and economic resources due to poverty, discrimination, or other disadvantages.
