The Rule of Law Index released by World Justice Project. India was ranked 79 out of 139 countries and jurisdictions in 2021. The Index ranks the countries based on scores ranging from 0 to 1, with 1 indicating the strongest adherence to the rule of Law.

• Denmark has topped the index with a score of 0.90, followed by Norway (0.90), Finland (0.88) and Sweden (0.86). India was ranked at 79th position with a score of 0.50.
