Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA)

The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) is a statutory body setup under the MPEDA Act, 1972. MPEDA was constituted on 20th April, 1972 and is headquartered at Kochi.

  • The institution functions under the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. MPEDA is responsible for development of the marine products industry with special reference to exports.
