The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) is a statutory body setup under the MPEDA Act, 1972. MPEDA was constituted on 20th April, 1972 and is headquartered at Kochi.

To ensure success in the agro-food sector, the need of hour is for a supportive, predictable macroeconomic and structural policy settings and not knee-jerk, sector specific interventions.
