In a landmark Judgment, the Supreme Court read down Section 377 of IPC and decriminalized same-sex relations between consenting adults.

• It applies to all citizens, and not just to the LGBT community.
• Section 377 was declared as unconstitutional as it violated Art 14, 15, 19 and 21 of the Constitution.
