ISRO Soon to Launch First Geo Imaging Satellite- GISAT-1
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) postponed the launch of first Geo Imaging Satellite (GISAT-1) scheduled on 5th March.
GISAT-1
- GISAT-1 will be launched by the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV-F10), in its fourteenth flight, from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The launch will also mark the 8th flight with indigenous Cryogenic Upper Stage (CUS).
- GISAT-1 is the first of two earth observation satellites planned for launch (GISAT-2 is planned to be launched in July, 2020, onboard GSLV-F12). The satellite is configured around modified I-2K bus.
