Investments in Nature-based Solutions need to triple by 2030 for Sustainable Development
On 27th May, 2021, the United Nations published a report, titled ‘State of Finance for Nature’. It looked into the current status and future need for investments in nature-based solutions (NbS) that are aimed at ensuring sustainable development.
State of Finance for Nature: Key Findings
- The report was jointly produced by the United Nations Environment Programme, the World Economic Forum, the Economics of Land Degradation and Vivid Economics.
- Annual investments in nature-based solutions (NbS) will have to be tripled by 2030 and increase four-fold by 2050 from the current level if the world is to meet its climate change, biodiversity and ....
