Global Forest Goals Report 2021
The Global Forest Goals Report 2021, prepared by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, was released recently. It is the first evaluation of where the world stands in implementing the United Nations Strategic Plan for Forests 2017-2030.
Key Highlights
- As per the report, 1.6 billion people, i.e., 25% of the global population, rely on forests for their subsistence needs, livelihoods, employment and income.
