Background
As on April 2019, 75 countries have signed, whereas 52 countries have ratified the International Solar Alliance Framework Agreement.
International Solar Alliance (ISA) is a common platform for cooperation among sun-rich countries lying fully or partially between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn who are seeking to massively ramp up solar energy, thereby helping to bend the global greenhouse emissions curve whilst providing clean and cheap energy.
It is a treaty-based international organization and is the first international body to have a secretariat in India (Gurugram).
