The Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has made a profound impact on curtailing the loss of species and biodiversity on earth since its inception in 1992. The landmark convention has completed 25 years conserving biodiversity on May 22, 2018, the day which is celebrated as the International Day for Biological Diversity.
