The Economic Survey 2019 has called for Redesigning a Minimum Wage System in India for Inclusive Growth.

Minimum Wage India enacted the Minimum Wages Act way back in 1948 which protects both regular and casual workers. The minimum wage system in India is extremely complex with a plethora of minimum wages. Minimum wage rates are set both by the Central and the State governments for employees working in selected ‘scheduled’ employments. |
