Simolu Festival
- The 2nd Simolu Festival was held at Bwisang-Na, Barunguri, Laokhowa, Assam, on 15-16 February 2025, as a celebration of Bombax ceiba (Shimul) flower blooming.
 - Purpose of the event: sustainable tourism development, environmental awareness campaigns and community involvement programs.
 - Various traditional events showcase folk art together with ethnic meals while performing cultural dances across multiple stages to build community spirit.
 - The environmental education program at the festival increases visitors’ understanding about wetlands together with biodiversity protection and the effects of climate change. ....
