West Bengal Joined NeVA Initiative
On 4th June 2026, the West Bengal Legislative Assembly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the implementation of the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA).
- West Bengal is the 33rd legislature in India to adopt the digital governance platform.
- NeVA, a Mission Mode Project of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, aims to digitize legislative functioning through a common digital platform.
- It seeks to promote paperless governance, transparency, efficiency and accessibility in legislative proceedings.
