Sahkar Nav-Kranti – Modernisation of Urban Cooperative Banks
- On 9th August 2026, Union Home and Cooperation Minister inaugurated the new premises of the National Urban Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation (NUCFDC) in Mumbai and launched technology and cybersecurity initiatives for Urban Cooperative Banks (UCBs).
- The initiatives included a Security Operations Centre (SOC) for UCBs and ‘Bank in a Box’, offering core banking, digital payments, cloud services and regulatory compliance solutions.
- An MoU was exchanged between NUCFDC and the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) to strengthen cybersecurity, digital forensics and training across the UCB network.
- NUCFDC has mobilisedRs.306 crore in capital, while 650 of nearly 1,400 UCBs have already joined the Umbrella ....
