Prakriti Gyan Dham Eco-Educational Hub

  • On 8th August 2026, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology dedicated the first-of-its-kind eco-educational hub ‘Prakriti Gyan Dham’ at the Maharishi Parashar Bioresource Centre in Banthra, Lucknow.
  • The facility has been developed by the CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute (CSIR-NBRI) to connect scientific research with society through biodiversity conservation, environmental education and experiential learning.
  • The hub features the PAaVan Path (Plants and Associated Vegetations for Appreciating Nature), an interpretive heritage trail showcasing plant collections from different ecological regions.
  • The Bhairav Enclave features officially designated State Plants of different States and Union Territories, highlighting their ecological and cultural significance.
