VB-GRAM-G and PMFBY Schemes
On 8th June 2026, the Bihar Cabinet approved the implementation of the VB-GRAM-G scheme and the continued rollout of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) to strengthen rural development and agricultural resilience.
- VB-GRAM-G focuses on holistic rural development through improvements in village infrastructure, governance and livelihood opportunities.
- The scheme guarantees 125 days of wage employment per financial year to rural households whose adult members are willing to undertake unskilled manual work.
