Asian Indoor Athletics Championships 2026

On 8th February 2026, Tejaswin Shankar won a historic gold medal in the men’s heptathlon at the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships in Tianjin, China.

  • He secured the top position with a record-breaking 5,993 points.
  • The performance set a new national indoor record, surpassing his previous best of 5,650 points achieved in 2021.
