Wild Life (Protection) Amendment Bill 2021
On 17th December, 2021, the Wild Life (Protection) Amendment Bill, 2021 was introduced in Lok Sabha to amend the Principal Act of 1972.
The Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 has been amended earlier in 1982, 1986, 1991, 1993, 2003 and 2006.
Need
- In present times, it has been felt that the broader aspects of ‘conservation’ and ‘management’ of wild life are of much importance and these are being proposed to be added in the Preamble of the Principal Act.
