‘Pralay’ Ballistic Missile

On 25th December, 2022, the Ministry of Defence cleared a proposal to procure around 120 Pralay ballistic missiles, which will be deployed along the borders with China and Pakistan.

  • The missile will be first inducted into the Indian Air Force, followed by the Indian Army.
  • India had earlier successfully conducted the second flight test of Pralay with a heavier payload and a different range to prove the precision and lethality of the new weapon system.
