- Cantonment Towns: Yashohar Cantonment Town, Darbhanga Cantonment Town, Kanpur Cantonment Town, Lahore Cantonment Town, etc.
- The Metropolitan Cities: Calcutta, Madras and Bombay were leading administrative, commercial and industrial cities.
