United Nations World Water Development Report 2025
On 21st March 2025, the United Nations World Water Development Report 2025 ‘Mountains and Glaciers - Water Towers’ was released by UNESCO.
- The report draws attention to the importance of mountain waters, including alpine glaciers, in sustainable development of the mountain regions and of the downstream societies that depend upon them, with a focus on the impacts of the rapidly changing mountain cryosphere.
