Indian National Army (INA)
- The idea of the Indian National Army (INA) was first conceived by Mohan Singh at Malaya. He was an officer in British Indian Army.
- The first division of INA was formed in September 1942 with Japanese help.
- The more vigorous phase of INA began with the arrival of Subhas Chandra Bose at Singapore in July 1943.
- He set up the Azad Hind Government (the provisional Government of Free India), adopted the tri-colour flag and gave the slogan of ‘Jai Hind’. He also re-organised INA or Azad Hind Fauz.
