Bio-CNG: Role in Energy Transition

India’s growing energy demand, dependence on imported fossil fuels, and commitments under the Paris Agreement to achieve Net Zero by 2070 require clean and sustainable energy alternatives. Bio-Compressed Natural Gas (Bio-CNG), produced from agricultural residue, municipal solid waste, and cattle dung, offers a renewable substitute for fossil CNG and LPG, while simultaneously addressing waste management and rural energy security.
