BWF Badminton World Championships
- On 23rd August 2026, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand won bronze at the BWF Badminton World Championships in New Delhi.
- They became only the second Indian women’s doubles pair to win a World Championship medal.
- They followed Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa, who won India’s first women’s doubles World Championship medal.
- The duo lost to defending champions Liu Sheng Shu and Tan Ning of China in the semi-final.
- The Indian pair won the opening game 21-18, but lost the next two games 21-13 and 21-8.
