Monitoring and Prediction of Extreme Weather
- Now-casting & Short-range predictions were done with regard to heavy rainfall in and around Mumbai. Clear-Sky radiances for assimilation in global weather prediction model using INSAT-3D/3DR was developed and implemented at NCMRWF for improved weather predictions. About 32 geophysical parameters were operationally generated from INSAT-3DR. High resolution urban surface temperature monitoring and prediction was estimated using INSAT-3D/3DR.
