National Population Register
- Government has decided to prepare a National Population Register (NPR) by conducting the NPR exercise from April to September 2020 in all the states and union territories except Assam, simultaneously along with the Census under the aegis of the Registrar General and ex-Officio Census Commissioner, India.
- NPR contains a list of all residents, who have lived at a locality for at least the last six months and plans to stay in that area for the next six months or more.
