What is CA|TS?

Conservation Assured | Tiger Standards (CA|TS) is an accreditation tool by the global coalition of Tiger Range Countries, developed by tiger and protected area experts. It was launched in 2013, and sets minimum standards for effective management of target species and encourages assessment of these standards in conservation areas. It allows tiger sites to check if their management will lead to successful tiger conservation.

  • CA|TS is an important part of Tx2, the global goal to double wild tiger numbers by the year 2022.

Benefits of CA|TS

  • It improves the quality of management of a protected area. It provides clarity on management of tiger sites, and also encourages further development and sharing of best practice across the tiger range countries.

Tiger Range Countries

There are 13 tiger range countries - India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Russia, Thailand and Vietnam.
