Hydrogel from discarded Corneas

A hydrogel has been developed by Indian Institute of technology, Hyderabad (IIT-H) from discarded corneas of human and bovine sources.

• It can be used as an alternative to Corneal transplantation as it can replace complicated surgeries with minimal invasive treatment.
• This hydrogel will help in regenerating cornea without scarring.
