Impacting Research Innovation and Technology (IMPRINT) India
It was launched in 2015 by MoHRD, supported by all IITs and IISc to address the major science and engineering challenges that India must champion to enable, empower and embolden the nation for inclusive growth and self-reliance.
The initiative has two-fold mandate:
Developing new engineering education policy
Creating a road map to pursue engineering challenges
10 technology domains namely health care, energy, sustainable habitat, Nano-technology hardware, water resources and river systems, advanced materials, Information and Communication Technology, manufacturing, security and defence, and environmental science and climate change have been selected to invite proposals for research.
As on date (December 2021), 176 projects have been fully sanctioned under 10 domains of the scheme.
