MusQan initiative was launched by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to target delivery of quality services to children in the health facilities.
Need for the Initiative: Due to improved access to healthcare facilities, and increasing utilisation of health services, poor quality of care in many facilities has become a major roadblock. MusQan will ensure timely, effective, efficient, safe, person- centred, equitable and integrated quality services in public health-care facilities for children in age group of 0-12 years.
Aim: To ensure provision of quality child-friendly services in public health facilities to reduce preventable newborn and child morbidity and mortality.
