Niligiri’s Rock Painting Being Destroyed

Nearly 40% of the rock paintings in Karikiyoor at Kil Kotagiri in the Nilgiri forests have been destroyed in last few years by trekkers, tourists, and vandals.

It is a Dravidian ethnic group, belonging to negrito race, inhabit the area of the Nilgiri mountains, in the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
