Mega Food Storage Plan: Challenges and Way Ahead
- A study by the 'National Academy of Agricultural Science' (NAAS) concludes that storage is the major cause of post-harvest losses of all kind of food in India.
- At the regional level, only a few of our southern states have a storage capacity of 90% or higher. In Northern state like Uttar Pradesh in Bihar, it is below 50%.
