COP28's Call: 'Transition Away' from Fossil Fuels
- COP28 in Dubai UAE adopted the 'Dubai Consensus' to 'transition away' from fossil fuels for the first time.
- In this historic agreement, a promise has been made to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees and move away from fossil fuels. The agreement calls for tripling renewable energy capacity and doubling energy efficiency by 2030.
