IAF–RTAF Joint Air Exercise, 2026

  • Conducted from 9-12th February 2026, in the Indian Ocean Region as a joint in-situ air combat exercise.
  • Participants: Indian Air Force (IAF) and Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF).
  • IAF deployed Su-30MKI fighters, AWACS, AEW&C aircraft, and IL-78 mid-air refuellers; RTAF fielded Gripen C/D jets.
  • Operations carried out from Andaman & Nicobar bases and Thai air bases.
  • Focus areas: advanced aerial combat manoeuvres, long-range missions, mid-air refuelling, surveillance integration, and maritime domain awareness.
