Pax Silica: US-Led Strategic Supply Chain Initiative Leaves Out India

Recently, the United States launched Pax Silica, a strategic initiative to secure global supply chains for critical minerals, semiconductors, AI infrastructure and advanced manufacturing.

  • India is not among the initial participants, even as global firms seek alternatives to China and India pursues deeper technology cooperation with the US.

  • Objective: Pax Silica aims to build a secure and trusted silicon-to-AI supply chain, covering critical minerals, energy inputs, semiconductor design and fabrication, AI infrastructure and logistics.
  • Lead & Platform: The initiative is led by the US Department of State.
