SC Orders Nationwide Audit of Private Universities

On 26^th November 2025, in a landmark move, the Supreme Court (SC) directed the Union Government, all States and Union Territories, and the University Grants Commission (UGC) to submit detailed disclosures on the establishment, regulation, and monitoring of private universities across India.
