Discuss the social, economic and political aspects of caste-based census in Bihar

Answer: Caste-based census 2023 in Bihar is a historic initiative, which started on January 7, 2023. It was completed in two phases, in the first phase, information about the house and the head of the household was taken and in the second phase, 26 types of information including caste were collected.

  • This data has been digitally secured on 'BIJAGA Mobile App/Portal'. According to the report released on October 2, 2023, the population of Bihar is 13.07 crores, which includes information of 215 scheduled castes.
