Answer: The ambitious 'JEEViKA' project of the Government of Bihar is an important step for the development, empowerment of women and the elimination of rural poverty. The aim of this project is to make women self-reliant in rural areas and strengthen their social and economic status.
- So far 10.47 lakh self-help groups have been formed through JEEViKA, under which more than 1 crore 30 lakh families have been linked.
- This project not only provides financial assistance to women, but also encourages their leadership, skills and social role.
