- Higher Education Growth: Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) increased from 51,534 (2014-15) to 70,018 (June 2025). Premier institutions now include 23 IITs, 21 IIMs, and 20 AIIMS, with international IIT campuses in Zanzibar and Abu Dhabi.
