Lok Sabha’s Ethics Committee

In October 2023, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha referred a complaint against sitting Member of Parliament (MP) to the House Ethics Committee.

  • The formation of the Ethics Committee in Parliament traces back to a resolution adopted at the Presiding Officers Conference in October 1996, urging legislatures to consider constituting such a committee.
