- India secured a 4-1 victory against Wales in a Pool B match.
- The match was held at GMC Balayogi Hockey Stadium.
- India confirmed qualification even before the semifinals stage.
- The qualifiers feature 8 teams divided into 2 pools.
- Teams play round-robin matches within their respective groups.
- The top two teams from each pool advance to the semifinals.
