Neelakurinji Added to IUCN Red List as ‘Vulnerable’
In August 2024, the Neelakurinji (Strobilanthes kunthiana), a purplish flowering shrub that blooms once every 12 years, was officially classified as a threatened species on the IUCN Red List.
