The Constitution (J&K) Scheduled Castes Order (Amendment) Bill, 2023
- It was introduced in Lok Sabha on 26th July, 2023.
- The Bill amends the Constitution (Jammu and Kashmir) Scheduled Castes Order, 1956.
- The Order lists the castes deemed to be Scheduled Castes in the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.
- The Bill adds Valmiki community as a synonym of Chura, Balmiki, Bhangi, and Mehtar ....
