High-Powered Task Force on Examination Reforms
On 26th July 2026, Prime Minister announced the constitution of a High-Powered Task Force on Examination Reforms under the chairmanship of Nandan Nilekani (co-founder of Infosys).
- The Task Force aims to restore the credibility, transparency, and integrity of competitive examinations through technology-driven reforms, stronger governance, and enhanced security.
Key Mandates of the Task Force
1. Strengthening Examination Security
- Develop secure protocols for question paper preparation, printing, storage, transmission, and distribution.
- Minimise the risk of paper leaks and unauthorized access.
- Standardize security measures across examination agencies.
2. Technology Integration
- Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) for fraud detection and risk assessment.
