Regulating Act of 1773

  1. The Act changed the constitution of the Company in England
  2. Governor of Bengal became Governor-General for all British territories in India
  3. Brought the presidencies of Bombay and Madras to some extent under the control of Governor-General of Bengal
  4. Established a Supreme Court at Calcutta
