Parliamentary Committees

There are two types of parliamentary committees in India. The first is known as Standing Committees which is elected by the House or nominated by the Speaker or Chairman every year or from time to time, as the case may be. It is permanent in nature. The second type of committee is known as “Adhoc Committees” which is constituted by the house or by the Speaker or Chairman as the need arises to consider and report on specific matters.
