Devasthal Optical Telescope (DOT) is a 3.6-m optical telescope at Devasthalin Nainital, Uttarakhand.
It is largest telescope in India for study of celestial objects at optical wavelengths.
It was established by Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences, an autonomous research institute under the Department of Science and Technology.
The back-end instruments of telescope provide spectral and imaging capabilities at visible and near-infrared bands.
