GISAT-1 Launch Failed

ISRO’s Geo-Imaging Satellite launch was supposed to place EOS-03, an earth observation satellite, into a geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO) ultimately reaching Geostationary Orbit (GEO) via GSLV-F10 rocket.

  • This mission failed as the Cryogenic Upper Stage (3rd Stage of GSLV) ignition did not initiate due to a technical glitch.
  • Cryogenic stage is the last stage of space launch vehicles which makes use of Liquid Oxygen and Liquid Hydrogen as propellants.
