Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2019

Indian Navy’s INS Kadmatt and Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas took part in 15th edition of LIMA exercise held at Langkawi, Malaysia.

  • The navies of Malaysia and India interact closely on issues related to maritime training and exchange best practices during exercises like LIMA.
  • LIMA is Asia Pacific’s premier maritime and aerospace show held biennially since its debut in 1991 and is a gateway to the Asia Pacific’s dynamic market region.
  • LIMA brings top decision makers from government officials to military and civil industry leaders together with prominent manufacturers and suppliers from around the globe, in creating the ideal platform where partnerships are forged and business opportunities are capitalized.
  • INS Kadmatt (P-29) is a stealth anti-submarine warfare (ASW) corvette which was commissioned into the Indian Navy in January 2016. The ship is fitted with state-of-the-art weapons, sensors and machinery and is also designed to embark the Sea King anti-submarine helicopter.
  • LCA Tejas fighters are developed indigenously by Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) which made their international debut in January 2016 at the Bahrain air show.
