Pichwai Art
Pichwai or pichvai painting is a 400-year-old art form which depicts the beautiful life of Lord Krishna andhas its roots in Nathdwara, Rajasthan. The art form is found both in temples as well as homes.
- These paintings are done on cotton cloth using natural colours and the most beautiful painting is mainly filled with pure gold.
- Pichwai, a forgotten art form, was revived by the devotees of Vallabhacharya sect for whom it has great importance.
