National Mission on Cultural Mapping
On 24th September, 2021, the National Mission on Cultural Mapping (NMCM) was handedover to the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), which is gearing up for a trial run in 75 villages in October 2021.
About NMCM
- Initiated by the Ministry of Culture in 2017, the program aims to preserve the rich Art and Cultural Heritage of India.
- The objective of the mission is to compile data of artists, art forms and geo location with inputs from Central Ministries, State Governments & art/culture bodies.
- Data collection will be assisted by technical collaboration from National E-Governance Division (NEGD)/Ministry of Electronics ....
